Linksys CLI

Query devices, DHCP reservations and port mappings on your Linksys router. Use the terminal or connect your AI agent.

What it does

Devices: List router-reported connections, names, IPs and MAC addresses; look up a device by ID or MAC.
DHCP: List fixed addresses and prepare a reservation plan. Review it before applying. Real writes still await live validation.
Port mappings: Query single-port and port-range rules, including VPN gateway mappings. Editing is not yet supported.
Router: Read model and firmware information; check authentication and configuration. Return structured JSON for scripts.

Ways to use it

Install @dev-agent-io/linksys-cli from npm. Requires Bun 1.4.4+; no GitHub access needed.

Install the package, then log in to your router from your own terminal.

npm install --global @dev-agent-io/linksys-cli
linksys login --host 192.168.1.1 --save
linksys devices list --online
linksys dhcp reservations list
linksys forwards list

Compatibility

Read operations verified on Linksys Velop MX4200, firmware 1.0.13.216903. Other models and firmware versions are unverified. MCP exposes read-only tools.
